MONITOR A.M.S. CARGO ENTRY
It is mandatory that the A.M.S. cargo entry be submitted 24 hours prior to arrival in U.S. waters. Once the A.M.S. administrator is notified of the cargo, NESA will begin monitoring the progress of the entry. The administrator is provided with updates as they become available. Once the cargo is customs released with U.S. Customs and a Steamship Release is authorized, NESA will advise the stevedore/terminal operator that the cargo is approved for delivery.
