FAQ
Demographically, NESA covers a vast number of ports and terminals, 27 to date, from Searsport, ME to Baltimore, MD, both the Hudson and Delaware rivers, as well as, the U.S. Great Lakes and St. Lawrence Seaway from Ogdensburg, NY to Erie, PA.
Aside from our industry expertise, communication with our customers is what sets us apart. We pride ourselves in keeping our vessel operators, owners and carriers immediately notified of changes, such as vessel movement, delays or damages, including any resolutions we have implemented to save time and money on their behalf.
Generally, two factors determine ports costs for carrier or vessel operators; vessel particulars i.e. DWT, LOA, NRT, GRT and the cargo type and quantity. Each entity has tariffs, which we use to calculate costs. An itemized estimate or pro forma disbursement will be prepared at your request showing the anticipated expenses.
